The short version
We set the few cookies the site needs to sign you in and keep you signed in. Nothing else. No analytics, no advertising, and nothing that follows you off the site.
What a cookie is here
A small file the site asks your browser to keep, so that the next page knows something the last one did. Without them we could not tell one signed-in person from another, which is why a few of them are not optional. This page also covers similar technologies, like the browser storage the site uses to remember which panels you had open.
Essential cookies
These make the site work. They carry no advertising, they are not shared with anyone, and they cannot be switched off from here — refusing them means not being able to sign in. Under the ePrivacy rules they do not require consent, because you asked for the service they provide.
| Cookie | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|
tutorgr_session |
Keeps you signed in and remembers which school and role you are viewing as. | Until you sign out, or 2 hours of inactivity |
XSRF-TOKEN |
Stops a third-party site from submitting forms on your behalf. | The browser session |
remember_web_* |
Set only if you tick "remember me" when signing in. | Five years, or until you sign out |
Optional cookies
There are none. We do not currently run analytics of any kind, so there is nothing here for you to accept or refuse — which is also why the site does not ask you.
Cookies set by other people
When you pay for a membership, the payment pages are operated by Verifone (2Checkout) and they set their own cookies to carry the checkout through and to detect fraud. Those are theirs, not ours, and their policy governs them: verifone.com/en/privacy-policy.
Video guides are embedded from YouTube. Watching one causes YouTube to set cookies under Google's policy. We embed them in privacy-enhanced mode, which means nothing is set until you press play.
What we do not have: no advertising networks, no social media tracking pixels, no data brokers, and nothing that follows you to other websites.
Changing your mind
You can clear or block cookies in your browser at any time — every browser has this under settings, usually called "Privacy". Blocking the essential ones will stop you being able to sign in.
